Due to continued success and growth we are seeking the services of an experienced Purchasing Officer to manage stores and materials to meet our production demands. Through your efforts in negotiating prices, purchasing, logistics and stock management you will be instrumental in ensuring a steady flow of work throughout the production process.

Some of the key challenges of this role include ensuring the engineering, estimating and production teams are advised of materials availability and maintaining stock levels to meet production demands whilst remaining within financial budgets.

Your success in this diverse role will be dependant upon possession of:

• An ability to negotiate and liaise with suppliers
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid experience and knowledge in stores, purchasing and logistics
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills
• Working knowledge of MSDS procedures

Experience in ERP/MRP systems as well as technical knowledge in manufacturing will be advantageous along with qualifications in purchasing or supply chain management.
