In a sparkling industry, Ampcontrol is providing electrical support to Botswana’s largest diamond project, Majwe Mining.
Ampcontrol is continuing to strengthen ties with the Chinese mining industry, recently signing on to supply underground power distribution equipment to one of the country’s largest mining companies.
Ampcontrol has been committed to encouraging and developing the skills of aspiring manufacturers through our longstanding apprentice and trainee program. The program has been running almost every year since our inception in 1968.
Congratulations are due to Ruiju Cai (Carol) from Allenwest Wallacetown Ltd who has achieved Chartered Engineering status.
Allenwest Wallacetown exhibited at the Ugol Rossii & Mining from June 1st to the 5th as part of the ABMEC (Association of British Mining Equipment Companies) UK group. This was the 17th International Trade Fair for Mining technology held in Novokuznetsk in West Siberia.
On 24 April 2010 a group from Allenwest Wallacetown completed a charity hill walk to Glencoe in the highlands of Scotland.
Every year the Ampcontrol Group make this award as part of its Community Relations Program. The award recognises those who contribute countless unpaid hours to organisations within the community.
To mark the occasion of the completion of their Modern Apprenticeship, Derek Gilmour and Andy Murphy were presented on 15 December 2009 with their certificates.
Also presented were their tradesmen's toolboxes - essential in their new role.
