Early 21st Century
In 1999 following a management buyout the company relocated from its site at Heathfield Road in Ayr to its current premises in Irvine where the business enjoys first class road, rail and air links. The early years of the 21st Century were ones of growth and product innovation. Between 1999 and 2007 turnover increased by more than 75% and major developments included the design and manufacture of a completely new range of flameproof transformers with market leading performance to complement the existing range of AW2000 Loadcentres.
In July 2007 Allenwest Wallacetown further consolidated its global presence by joining the Ampcontrol Group who are one of Australia’s leading international suppliers of electrical and electronic products to the power and mining sector.
